Privacy Policy

WeJstMet ("the app", "we") is a networking app operated by InvisiEdge. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. The short version: your data is used only to run the app — we don't sell it and we don't show ads.
What we collect
- Google account basics — when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile photo. We use them to create and secure your account.
- Profile you create — the details you enter: name, nickname, city, work, profession, bio, social handles, photos, and an optional voice recording of your name's pronunciation.
- Connections — profiles you save by scanning someone's QR code, the events you create, and "moments" (photos / voice notes) you attach to a connection.
- Messages — chats you send to other WeJstMet users are stored so both sides can read the conversation.
Device permissions
- Camera — only to scan other people's QR codes and take photos for moments.
- Microphone — only to record name pronunciations and voice notes.
- Photo library — only when you choose to add photos to your profile or a moment.
Nothing is captured in the background. Each permission is requested when you first use the feature and can be revoked in your device settings.
Where your data lives
Profile, connection and message data is stored in MongoDB Atlas. Photos and audio are stored on Cloudinary. Both are industry-standard hosted services; data is transmitted over HTTPS and access requires your signed-in session token. A copy of your data is also cached on your device so the app works offline.
What others see
Your QR code contains only the profile fields you filled in — sharing it is always your action. If someone scans your code, they get a copy of that public card. Photos, audio and messages are only shared with people you explicitly connect or chat with.
What we don't do
- No selling or renting of personal data.
- No third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
- No collection of your device contacts or location.
Data retention & deletion
Your data is kept while your account is active. You can delete individual contacts, events, moments and chats in the app. To delete your account and all server-side data, email us at jaikushalbysani@gmail.com from your sign-in address — we'll complete the deletion within 30 days.
Children
WeJstMet is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we'll update this page and the effective date above.
